If I Weren't Being Sabotaged Daily

There are days (like today) when the burning question on my mind is what I would do if I didn't have children and a husband who bring home donuts and garlic bread slathered with butter or have birthdays and beg for Oreo-cookie-ice-cream-cakes from Dairy Queen.
Who demand to stop at every corner McDonalds for warm comforting French Fries and keep bottles of soda pop on reserve in the closet. What would I do without family pizza once a week (or twice--or three times in an emergency)?

Would I truly, honestly eat mostly cracked-wheat cereal from my food storage, beans and brown rice, and edamame?

How funny!

We've empty-nested, and for the last few months, my husband and I have chilled out on dinners of ice cream sandwiches and Cheetos. I'm not sure how long we can sustain this until our teeth and hair begin to fall out, but it's fun for now. :)

um, yeah, that would be a no, but my class of desserts would rise measurably.

That's one rather loaded question! ;)

Now that you mention it, I'm going to see if I can stockpile some Bubble Up & Dark Chocolate Almond Lacey's in my food storage.

Bill buys me these big jars of chocolate covered macadamia nut/caramel clusters at Costco---to die for. I eat the whole damn thing in a week.

Then he says, "I probably shouldn't do that. You are so conscientous of your weight." It took me awhile to realize he meant "conscious." And then I thought, "what the hell do I have to be conscious of, huh?"

I weigh 10 lbs. more than I did when I was a senior in high school. He weighs 70 lbs. more.

Men can get fat and look okay. Women, not so much.
